Laundry Production Supervisor

Job Overview

Surfside Laundry in Foley, Alabama is hiring Laundry Production Supervisors to help lead daily production in our fast-paced commercial laundry facility.

This position is responsible for supervising production team members, keeping laundry moving efficiently through each department, ensuring quality standards are met, and helping maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, organized, and comfortable leading a team in a busy production setting.

What You’ll Do

As a Laundry Production Supervisor, you’ll help oversee the daily flow of laundry from sorting and washing to drying, folding, finishing, packing, and staging. You’ll work closely with management and production staff to make sure customer orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise laundry production employees during assigned shifts
  • Monitor workflow throughout production areas to ensure efficiency and quality
  • Assist with sorting, washing, drying, folding, finishing, packing, and staging as needed
  • Make sure customer orders are processed accurately and on schedule
  • Train, coach, and support team members on proper procedures and expectations
  • Assign tasks and adjust staffing based on production needs
  • Help maintain quality control standards for clean linens and finished products
  • Communicate equipment issues, staffing needs, safety concerns, and production updates to management
  • Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and cleanliness standards
  • Track productivity, attendance, workflow, and shift performance as needed
  • Help reduce errors, rework, delays, and downtime
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and team-focused work environment
  • Step in wherever needed to support production goals
Qualifications
  • Previous supervisory, team lead, or production leadership experience preferred
  • Experience in commercial laundry, hospitality, housekeeping, manufacturing, warehouse, or production environments is a plus
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to keep a team organized, motivated, and on task
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems during the shift
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional
  • Basic computer or paperwork skills preferred
  • Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift and move laundry bags, carts, linens, and supplies as needed
  • Comfortable working around commercial laundry equipment, heat, noise, and fast-moving production areas
