Job Description
DUTIES: Conduct design assessments with CAE methods that support vehicle development and validation. Perform structural analysis of components and systems to assess the following characteristics: stiffness (static and dynamic), strength, durability, and noise and vibration performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop designs that meet customer requirements. Engage in innovation projects by supporting development of virtual tools and methods. Lead execution of common virtual strategies for Chassis components and systems to support vehicle program development timeline. Develop engineering designs and present results with impactful recommendations, based on analysis. Participate in Chassis Product Development Teams (PDTs) by collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop designs that meet customer requirements. Lead all aspects of coordinated supplier CAE activities. Participate in CAE Focus Groups to keep up to date with latest CAE methods, tools, and trends. Participate in development of new or revised analysis procedures, methods, and tools (e.g., software, applications, scripts/coding). Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office. Multiple positions available.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study and Five (5) years of experience as a Computer Aided Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or related role. Five (5) years of experience with: Structural design and analysis; CAD and CAE software, applications, and methods including FE modeling, analysis, and optimization; MATLAB, C++, Python, HyperWorks, and ANSA; NASTRAN, Abaqus, LS-Dyna, and nCode; DesignLife, OptiStruct, and iSight; and Chassis and CAE solutions.
