MS&A Group ManagerCapstone Research Corporation is seeking to expand our team. Capstone Research Corporation is headquartered in Huntsville Alabama. We are a customer-oriented engineering services company providing world class research and development support across the Department of Defense (DoD): Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Compensation for this position will be determined, but not limited to, factors such as responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, alignment with market data, and internal equity.We have an immediate opening for a Group Manager (GM) to lead the Company's Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) group based in Huntsville, AL. Key Responsibilities:Lead and supervise MS&A group to include planning, organizing, and assigning tasks based on team members' strengths and Government project requirements. Manage government projects (e.g., contracts, subcontracts, task orders) ensuring cost, schedule, and technical performance meet or exceed contractual requirements. Manage group profit and loss. Execute company strategy for MS&A and software development. Assess company strategy and update in consideration of AI-assisted modeling and automated analysis, digital engineering & MBSE, digital twin technology, cloud-based simulation, advanced multi-domain mission simulation, DevSecOps and automated software pipelines, AI-assisted software development, containerization and modular microservices architectures, etc.Support recruiting, as required, including development of job requisitions, reviewing resumes of potential candidates, interviewing candidates, and making hiring decisions.Develop and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project requirements.Lead, mentor, and manage a team of professionals, ensuring their development and performance align with organizational goals, government contract responsibilities, and HR guidelines.Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement and allocate resources effectively to optimize team productivity. Conduct annual performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support career development for employees within the team.Participate in regularly scheduled company meetings, including weekly status meetings, bi-weekly business development meetings, and semi-annual/annual corporate offsite meetings.Understand and help implement the President and COO's vision for business development and long-term growth.Identify opportunities for business development through progressive marketing / engagement of current customers and develop strategies to secure new contracts.QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, related field, or equivalent related experience. Minimum of 20 years of experience in leadership and management, with at least 10 years overseeing government projects in modeling, simulation, and analysis.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a focus on delivering results.Experience with physics-based, engagement-level, or mission-level simulations.Experience in systems engineering and digital engineering integration.Knowledge of Monte Carlo analysis, sensitivity analysis, and trade studies.In-depth knowledge of government contracting, procurement processes, and compliance requirements.Strong leadership and communication skills with proven experience managing and developing high-performing teams.Active SECRET clearance or eligibility to obtain one.Desired Qualifications:Master's degree in engineering, computer science, or related fieldPMP, PgMP, or other relevant program management certifications are highly desirable.Experience with DoD simulation frameworks and analytic tools such as AFSIM, STK, MATLAB / Simulink, Python and/or C++ analytic models.Mission domain experience in missile systems or integrated fires, integrated air & missile defense, sensor-to-shooter architectures, command an control systems, joint or multi-domain operations.Data analytics and software skills.Active Top Secret (or TS/SCI) clearance
