Data Entry Specialist
Department: Child Care Choices of Boston

Compensation: $24.69 / hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring efficient voucher management operations and payment to child care providers.
  • Communicate and respond to inquiries from providers, parents and other individuals relative to the status and process of voucher payment.
  • Input all activity for proper crediting and payment of state child care vouchers.
  • Verify and enter all client voucher information on data entry terminal.
  • Enter payments to vendors on data entry terminal.
  • Assist in assuring quality control of operations and billing procedures.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly reports, special reports or other statistical collection functions, as necessary.
  • Work in conjunction with family and provider services staff to implement administrative changes to client information and provider changes.
  • Respond to and resolve billing inquiries from providers, parents, CCCB staff and other persons.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • A minimum of a high school diploma/GED or equivalent and one to three years of computer systems/data entry experience required.
  • Associate's degree in business related or human service field preferred.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of paperwork and meet deadlines.
  • Good mathematical, analytic, and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to deal sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.

Expected Salary: $44,935.80 annually ($24.69/hour) USD. Salary scales are set according to an explicit compensation policy and relevant market data. Due to funding restrictions and our strong focus on internal parity, this salary is thoughtfully aligned with the duties expected for this role, and offers are firm.
