Job description

The Fleet Management Company (FMC) Commercial Area Manager (CAM) is a revenue-generating sales position responsible for driving Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, SUV, minivan, and especially Ram Truck and Van sales through strategic Fleet Management Company partnerships. This role focuses on influencing vehicle acquisition decisions within FMC-managed client portfolios, developing new business opportunities, and maximizing volume and revenue growth across assigned FMC accounts.

The CAM must bring a “sales-first” mindset to every interaction while operating in a highly collaborative, partner-driven environment. The role requires developing and executing strategies that align Stellantis commercial objectives with FMC business models, enabling growth through indirect channels rather than direct fleet ownership relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow volume and market share through assigned Fleet Management Companies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with FMC account leaders, sourcing teams, and client advisory groups
  • Influence vehicle selection, ordering behavior, and lifecycle decisions across FMC-managed clients
  • Maximize sales performance with existing FMC accounts by increasing penetration, mix, and retention
  • Create and execute strategies to overcome objections and position Stellantis products as competitive solutions
  • Support FMC partners and their clients with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization and cost control initiatives
  • Provide timely and accurate updates to FMC partners on Stellantis programs including ProOne, incentives, Service Net, and other commercial offerings
  • Partner with dealerships to ensure readiness to support FMC-driven business, including inventory alignment, fulfillment, and customer support
  • Serve as a liaison between FMCs, dealers, and Stellantis to streamline order-to-delivery processes and improve customer experience
  • Support dealer engagement where necessary to enable FMC success, including training dealer commercial teams on FMC processes and opportunities
  • Provide guidance on inventory planning and availability to ensure the right commercial products reach FMC-driven end users
  • Develop and support regional and national initiatives that promote product awareness and drive FMC engagement
  • Provide accurate forecasts of FMC-driven production requirements and pipeline opportunities
  • Ensure accurate reporting of commercial sales, including auditing FMC-related transactions and correcting discrepancies
  • Lead regular business reviews with FMC partners, including quarterly meetings to assess performance, identify opportunities, and align future strategies

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong working relationships with:
    • Fleet Management Company representatives
    • Fleet customers
    • Second-stage manufacturers and upfitters
    • Dealerships supporting FMC business
  • Support local and regional commercial events tied to FMC partnerships
  • Provide input on future product content, commercial programs, and process improvements to enhance competitiveness within FMC channels
  • Manage multiple priorities and aggressive timelines within a complex, multi-stakeholder sales environment

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in business-to-business sales, account management, or partner/channel sales
  • Experience working with Fleet Management Companies, leasing organizations, or indirect sales channels preferred
  • Experience in automotive, mobility, or fleet environment
  • Demonstrated “sales-first” mindset with strong ownership of revenue outcomes
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong, positive working relationships
  • Self-motivated with ability to achieve goals under minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience working with TCO or financial-based selling
  • Willing and able to travel up to 60–80%
  • The candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate to one of the following states in the territory they will cover: IL, WI, MN, or IA (preferably IL)
