Job description

ESSENTIAL TASKS:
  • Receive, weigh, and identify raw materials.
  • Can up weighed out heats in correct sequence.
  • Load and unload trucks, verifying load with packing list.
  • Accumulate raw materials for various furnace charges according to heat sheet.
  • Pull samples and take to lab for processing.
  • Follow VIM schedule to determine heats needed to be weighed out.
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

NON-ESSENTIAL TASKS:
  • Assist charge clerk, scrap sorter, VIM personnel, Etc. and other duties as assigned

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
  • Over 6 and up to 9 months of previous manufacturing experience

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Prior fork truck experience is preferred
  • Work from charge sheets, use weigh scales.
  • Make simple use of formulas.
