Owensboro Racing & Gaming is on the lookout for a Maintenance Technician who’s ready to jump in and help keep our exciting entertainment venue running smoothly! In this role, you’ll be a vital part of the action—keeping things safe, clean, and in top working condition behind the scenes. From fixing up buildings and equipment to helping prevent issues before they start, you’ll play a key part in creating a great experience for both guests and team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform routine structural and mechanical maintenance and repairs throughout the facility.

  • Conduct minor repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

  • Maintain facility grounds, including barns, stalls, and other backside structures.

  • Clean, weed, and perform general upkeep of property surroundings.

  • Identify and correct safety hazards; uphold OSHA standards.

  • Assist with light construction, equipment handling, and materials transport.

  • Promote a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and mechanical systems.

  • Ability to identify, diagnose, and perform repairs independently.

  • Effective communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and tasks efficiently.

  • Ability to work safely in fast-paced, physically demanding environments.

  • You must be 21 years of age or older to apply for this position.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum six (6) months of related maintenance or facilities experience.

  • Experience with electrical systems is a plus!

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, hear, speak, and use hands/arms.

  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crawl.

  • Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.

  • Vision abilities include close/distance vision, color/depth perception, and peripheral vision.

  • Indoor and outdoor work required in varying conditions.

  • Exposure to loud noise and cigarette smoke when on the gaming floor.
