Job Title: Production Supervisor
Reports To: Value Stream Manager
Work Location: Pine Bluff, AR
FLSA Status: Exempt
Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

About the Role
As a Production Supervisor, you'll lead a team on the production floor, keeping things running safely, on schedule, and at a high standard of quality. You'll coach your team, solve problems as they come up, and help drive continuous improvement across the shift. This role is a great fit for someone who's a strong, hands-on leader and enjoys keeping a fast-paced production environment organized and on track. . The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, scheduling, and employee development.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and coach a team of 2+ Team Leads and 20+ production employees, building a culture of accountability and teamwork
  • Hold regular check-ins with your team, set clear goals, and give feedback that helps people grow
  • Keep safety a top priority, making sure your team follows all safety policies and procedures
  • Lead by example, supporting a positive and respectful workplace
  • Drive continuous improvement on the floor - spotting waste, fixing bottlenecks, and making processes run smoother
  • Plan and manage daily production to hit targets for quality, quantity, and timing
  • Work closely with planning and materials teams to keep schedules realistic and on track, adjusting as needed
  • Partner with Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to keep production flowing smoothly
  • Lead root cause investigations and fix quality issues when they come up
  • Make sure your team has the right staffing, training, and equipment to get the job done
  • Keep accurate records and reporting for your shift

Requirements

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations Management is a plus
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement (5S, Kaizen, etc.)
  • A track record of leading, coaching, and growing a strong team
  • Comfortable with production scheduling and adjusting on the fly
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a "get it done" attitude
  • Clear, confident communicator who works well with people at every level
  • Comfortable using production software and basic data/reporting tools

Physical and Environmental Requirements 

  • Lifting:Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. 
  • Environment:Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors. 
  • Physical Activities:Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed. 
  • PPE:Wear the required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear. 
  • Dexterity and Vision:Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment). 
  • Stamina:Stand for long shifts. 
  • Skills:Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork. 
  • Safety:Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
