What are some common challenges faced by Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) workers and how can they be managed?

FIFO workers often face challenges such as extended periods away from family, adjusting to shift work, and adapting to remote living conditions. Managing these challenges typically involves maintaining regular communication with loved ones, establishing healthy routines for sleep and exercise, and taking advantage of on-site support services. Many employers offer resources like counseling, social activities, and wellness programs to help FIFO employees maintain their well-being and build a sense of community while on-site.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

Fly In Fly Out jobs in industries like oil and gas, mining, or construction can pay around $4,000 per week for skilled roles such as heavy equipment operators, technicians, or supervisors, often requiring specialized training or certifications but not necessarily a college degree. These positions typically involve working on remote sites with long shifts and high pay due to the demanding environment and skill requirements.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) worker, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) worker, you need practical trade or technical skills relevant to your sector (such as mining, construction, or oil and gas), often backed by industry-recognized certifications or licenses. Familiarity with safety protocols, site-specific machinery, and digital reporting systems is typically required. Strong resilience, adaptability, and teamwork are vital soft skills for coping with remote locations and rostered work schedules. These skills and qualities help ensure safety, productivity, and well-being in demanding and isolated work environments.

Are fly-in fly-out jobs real?

These jobs are common in industries like mining, oil and gas, and construction, often requiring specific safety training and travel logistics. FIFO work schedules can vary from days to weeks, depending on the industry and project needs.

What are Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) jobs?

Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) jobs are positions where employees travel to remote work sites, often in the mining, oil, or construction sectors, for set periods before returning home for time off. Workers are flown to the site and provided with accommodation, meals, and transportation as part of their employment package. FIFO roles can involve long shifts and extended time away from home, but they typically offer higher pay and scheduled breaks. This work arrangement helps employers staff projects in remote or hard-to-reach areas where local labor is scarce.

Can Americans get FIFO jobs?

Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) jobs are available to Americans, especially in industries like mining, oil and gas, and construction, where workers travel to remote sites for scheduled periods. Job description

Cranial Technologies is the only company in the world completely dedicated to researching and treating plagiocephaly (commonly called flat head syndrome). With over 500,000 babies successfully treated, we are the plagiocephaly experts and the leader in pediatric cranial shaping orthoses.

Cranial Technologies also provides treatment with EarWell to correct infant ear shapes without surgery. With over 600,000+ successful outcomes, EarWell is a proven, non-invasive treatment option for families.

For over 35 years, Cranial Technologies has provided a superior product, service, and the best possible outcome for every child with cranial asymmetry. We are the leading provider of Head Band Therapy used to treat plagiocephaly in infants.

We are currently looking for a Nationwide Traveling Certified Orthotist based out of Denver, CO! This is a full-time position for someone that is looking for an opportunity to practice in a variety of Cranial Technologies locations across the United States

This is an exciting opportunity to work outside of traditional orthotics in a niche, pediatric clinical outpatient setting exclusively with infants and their families.

Do love to fly and travel around the United States?

  • In this role you will travel to any state where we have a Cranial Technologies clinic. We're currently in 32 states and are continuing to grow!
  • Travel is typically on a Monday afternoon/evening. You work in the clinic Tuesday - Friday and fly home Friday afternoon/evening. You are home every Saturday and Sunday!
  • You will receive your travel schedule 2+ weeks in advance!

Do you thrive in fast paced and new settings?

  • You may be in a different clinic every week working with new teammates and building relationships across the company!
  • You will be taking over a caseload for another clinician, so you are always meeting new families!

What does a clinician do at Cranial Technologies?

As a Clinician, you will treat infants to reshape head shapes with the DOC Band and correct ear shapes with EarWell. Pediatricians and parents alike look to our Clinicians as the experts in evaluation and in treatment of plagiocephaly as well as conditions involving misshapen ears. Our treating Clinicians develop great relationships with our families at every stage of their treatment process.

We hire from various backgrounds because each background is a great fit in its own way.

  • Certified Prosthetist-Orthotists & Certified Orthotists are also a strong fit because of their hands-on experience with orthotics and direct patient care.

A background in pediatrics is preferred, but not necessary as we have a formal training program that includes mentoring.

What we have to offer:

  • You will see visible, measurable changes in two to three weeks
  • We value our employees and invest in their training and mentorship
  • Direct patient care with minimal paperwork
  • No productivity/patient quotas
  • Cranial Technologies is a nationwide company with future opportunities available in training and mentoring

  • The pay range for this position is $92,500 - $102,500 plus additional travel bonus. Pay is dependent on the applicant's tenure in their field and relevant experience.
  • This position is also eligible for quarterly performance bonuses and annual raises.
  • Many internal growth and promotional track opportunities available.
  • Travel expenses covered by the company.

Required:

  • State-issued REAL ID compliant license or equivalent TSA accepted travel documentation required by start date
