Job description

Are you the machinist who turns complex prints into flawless parts?

Do you enjoy designing your own fixtures, dialing in speeds and feeds, and proving out a clean first article—every time? At Blast Cleaning Technologies (BCT), the leader in shot blast innovation, you’ll program, set up, and run CNC lathes and mills while shaping the standards of our growing operation.

Your mission

Take ownership from setup to inspection hand‑off.

  • Program with Mastercam and long‑hand at the control; write, read, and edit G- and M-code.
  • Set up/operate Takisawa lathes and Bridgeport/Okuma VMCs; run parts complete to print.
  • Create fixturing solutions; mount, install, align, and secure tools, fixtures, and workpieces.
  • Calculate speeds/feeds and cut positions; adjust on the fly and change tooling as needed.
  • Pause machines as appropriate to swap tools, refine setups, or remove finished parts per sequence.
  • Measure critical dimensions using precision gauges, templates, and hand metrology to ensure conformity.
  • Perform maintenance, including spindle care, machine geometry checks, and basic repairs.
  • Advance BCT’s culture and core values through craftsmanship and teamwork.

Responsibilities may expand; flexibility to take on related tasks is expected.

What you bring
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of CNC lathe and mill setup/operation experience.
  • 2+ years programming via Mastercam or long‑hand.
  • Manufacturing environment experience; foundry background is a plus.
  • Ability to lay out features from drawings; organized, self‑motivated, and detail‑focused; proficient with computers.
