Job description
Position Scope:
The Nuna Group of Companies is now accepting resumes for an experienced 50T & 90T Finish Excavator Operators with large earthworks construction / mining project experience.
We offer:
- 2 week on / 2 week off rotations; 12-hour days
- Fly in / Fly out
- Competitive hourly rate with Overtime pay (1.5x)
- Commercial flights and accommodations are covered
Some Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities.
- Maintains equipment in good operating condition, reporting, and logging maintenance requirements or concerns.
- Complete production reporting and other documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members.
- Operate other heavy equipment if required.
- Follow all site, company and client specific safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating 50T & 90T Excavators in a road building, mining, and/or industrial setting.
- Minimum 3+ years experience as a Finish Excavator
- Previous experience with rotational schedules and remote camp life.
- Incorporates HS&E concepts into work activities and demonstrates concern for others health & safety (co-workers, clients, and sub trades).
- Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment with good safety awareness.
- Experience with radio communications and protocols.
