Job description

INFORMATION
  • Location : Iqaluit, Nunavut
  • Start date : As soon as possible, until the end of the season (approximately November)
  • Rotation : 26 to 30 days on site followed by 14 days off
  • Employment type : seasonal (April to November)
  • Schedule : 70 hours per week (10 hours/day)

We are currently seeking a survey technician to join our surveying team. By joining us and embarking on the Arctic adventure, you'll have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, enjoy breathtaking landscapes, and benefit from the tools and equipment you need to succeed.

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Perform topographic surveys and quantity survey field measurements;
  • Prepare survey drawings and quantity calculations;
  • Prepare layout and staking data;
  • Carry out the layout of various structures, including anchors, roads, culverts, and concrete formwork;
  • Organize, maintain, and update survey records and field data;
  • Perform any other duties required to support project progress.

  • 70-hour workweek (10 hours per day);

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time an offer of employment is made.

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Surveying or College Diploma (DEC) in Surveying or Civil Engineering;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role;
  • ASP Construction Health and Safety Card;
  • Proficiency with computer applications and AutoCAD software;
  • Proficiency in the use of GPS equipment and robotic total stations;
  • Bilingualism (English and French), both spoken and written, is considered a strong asset.
