Schedule: Full-Time; 15-call days per month; 24-hour shifts; weekdays, weekends & holidays required; travel required

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
As an Import Coordinator you’ll play a vital role in advancing our mission. In this position, you’ll be responsible for arranging transportation (ground and air) for the LifeNet Coordinator, the Recovering Surgeon, and/or the organ. You will be responsible for placing kidneys on pump for imported and/or locally recovered kidneys. The Import Coordinator will also be responsible for flyouts, which include flying with surgeons for organs when needed.

Your work will have purpose every single day, contributing directly to life-changing outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Import Transportation & Logistics: Coordinates and is responsible for all aspects of importing an organ into LifeNet Health service area. This includes all air and ground transportation to assist transplant teams and LifeNet Health staff to and from the recovery site and flying with surgeons when needed.
  • Kidney Perfusion: For import cases, operates the kidney perfusion machines, and maintain accurate clinical preservation records. Places kidneys on pump, monitors pump numbers and delivers kidneys to transplant centers for transplantation.
  • Documentation: Documents accurately and timely all clinical and logistical information for donors in compliance with all internal procedures and external regulatory standards. Engages with transplant center staff to obtain medical information for imports. Accurately documents donor information in TrueNorth.
  • Packaging & Labeling: Packages and labels kidneys for local transplant centers for living donor cases and flyout/fly in organ recoveries as needed. Maintains stocking and preparation of supplies necessary for import recoveries.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • TWO (2) years’ experience in medical field


Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications:

  • Associate Degree

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $20.36 - $27.15/hourly


Final compensation will be based on factors such as geographic location, qualifications, and prior relevant experience. Actual compensation may be higher based on the successful candidate’s knowledge and relevant experience.
