Overview
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.
Responsibilities
  • Perform all IV&V processes and procedures, including the review and comments on test plans, test procedures, and test scripts
  • Review engineering specifications, documents, drawings, and plans.Review system, software, and hardware test procedures.
  • Witness Formal Qualification and System Acceptance Testing at land-based test facilities.
  • Validate requirements.
  • Carry out Audits of computer software units.
  • Perform technical reviews of Software Requirements Specifications, System Specifications, Interface Requirements Specifications, and Requirements Databases.
  • Execute ADA software code inspections and At-Sea Certification Trials of hardware and software

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or Computer Science field.
  • Have an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
  • Proven experience in US Navy submarine SCS.
  • At least 5 years of experience in:
    • Fly-By-Wire (FBW) training and qualification and FBW certified formal U.S. Navy witnessing of laboratory testing at the developer's facilities
    • Reviews of Program Trouble Reports (PTRs).
    • Experience in computer programming with the ability to understand ADA programming language.

Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $100,000.00/Yr. - USD $115,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
