Job Description Summary
Perform Pipefitter and welding job duties at the EMD facility in Martin, SC. Per diem is available per each day worked if residence is outside 50-mile radius from work site. Regular work schedule is 4 x 10-hour days weekly.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
• Complies with all Fluor Corporation safety requirements and programs.
• Clean, bevel, prepare and install pipe with various fittings and weld joints. Materials range from Carbon Steel, Stainless, Galvanized, Lined Pipe, and Polypropylene.
• Install pipe hangers and supports including tray where required.
• Test pipe installation, bend pipe, and install valves, traps, strainers, flanges, gaskets, or other inline components.
• Perform layout, rigging and transportation of pipe, valves and fittings.
• Install small equipment: Pumps, agitators, mixers, etc., and place instrumentation (mechanically only).
• Interpret sketches, Isometrics, and blue prints developing bills of materials for pipe fabrication.
• Perform craft related math / field routing of Piping.
• Knowledge / ability to operate variety of shop tools and small hand tools.
• Perform small concrete / grout work to mount equipment.
• Must work well as part of team, and strive for strong safety and work culture.
• Ownership of basic tools to perform fitting duties is strongly preferred but not required.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two or more years industrial pipefitter experience required.
• Required to take and pass a welding test.
