As a flute teacher, your job is to help each student learn to play their instrument better. In this role, you may plan a lesson based on the skill of each student, guide them through practice sessions, and help them prepare for each performance. Some people in this profession also teach other instruments; these positions are commonly available at public schools or music institutes, although the post is often advertised as music teacher instead of flute teacher. A flute teacher may also work one-on-one in small music studios or home learning environments. This job requires communication skills, lesson planning skills, excellent hearing, and the ability to work outside of regular teaching hours.
