Care Career is seeking a travel Medical Technologist for a travel job in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Job Description & Requirements

  • 40 hours per week
  • Shift: 8 hours, rotating
  • Employment Type: Travel

Medical Laboratory Technician – Job Description
Shift: 8-hour rotating shifts
Schedule: Must be available for weekends and rotating shifts

 Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory testing and diagnostic procedures on patient specimens.
  • Conduct microscopic, bacteriological, hematological, immunologic, and chemical analyses.
  • Process and analyze specimens including:
    • Blood
    • Urine
    • Stool
    • Tissue
    • Synovial fluid
    • Semen
    • Other biological specimens as required
  • Follow established laboratory procedures, quality-control standards, and safety protocols.
  • Accurately document and report laboratory test results.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies according to department standards.
  • Ensure specimen identification, handling, processing, and testing are performed accurately.
  • Follow applicable regulatory, infection-control, and laboratory safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals to support timely patient care.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Must hold a currently active Hawaii state license as applicable to the position.
  • Medical Laboratory Technician/Laboratory professional experience preferred.
  • Must be available to work weekends and rotating shifts.
  • Must possess applicable laboratory certification(s), such as:
    • ASCP
    • AMT
    • NCA
    • HEW
  • General certifications may include BLS/BCLS
