Through its ability to transform innovative ideas into practical solutions, from preliminary concepts to turnkey projects, our team successfully delivers complex vessel and floating structure design, construction, modification, and repair projects. Concept Naval is seeking a Marine Mechanical Systems Technician to join our team in Quรฉbec City, where our office offers breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence River and Chรขteau Frontenac
We offer a unique role where you will have the opportunity to play a significant part in impactful and innovative projects, including initiatives focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs), while staying at the forefront of emerging technologies in the maritime industry.
 

As a Marine Mechanical Systems Technician, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in the design and integration of marine mechanical systems, including propulsion, hydraulics, HVAC, water distribution networks, fuel systems, lubrication systems, and auxiliary systems.
  • Produce installation, assembly, and fabrication drawings.
  • Select appropriate mechanical components (pumps, valves, heat exchangers, piping, supports) based on project requirements.
  • Collaborate with the structural team and ensure effective spatial coordination within vessels.
  • Apply fluid mechanics principles, including pressure, flow rate, and pressure loss calculations.
  • Work in compliance with safety, material, and manufacturing standards.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Has three (3) years or less of relevant experience.
  • Is proficient with AutoCAD.
  • Has an interest in or experience with Rhino and Inventor.
  • Understands technical drawings, including process flow diagrams, arrangement drawings, and piping isometrics.
  • Is eager to learn maritime classification rules and standards such as Bureau Veritas, Transport Canada, and Lloyd's Register.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and autonomy.
  • Exhibits a collaborative mindset and strong teamwork skills.
