Job Summary
The Home Associate will be responsible for modeling and promoting Sendik's culture by consistently providing "best in class" service to our guests. The main responsibility as a Home Associate will be to build rapport with customers, while maintaining the Home Department. In addition, the Home Associate will assist with limited floral prep work as well.

Work Experience
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Serve customers in the Home Department while modeling Sendik's culture and providing "best in class" customer service, which includes, greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their business
  • Engaging with customers in order to create a warm and welcoming environment
  • Provide consistent, timely and friendly customer service when answering questions and making suggestions
  • Accurately and efficiently document customer orders
  • Maintain the Home Department, including, but not limited to, prepping, watering, stocking flower and plants and assisting with merchandising and stocking of gifts
  • Assist Floral Designer with design work as needed
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of new associates in the Home Department
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and procedures
  • Assist with all other Home Department duties as needed

Qualifications
  • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age due to required operation of Home equipment
  • Eagerness to interact with customers
  • Strong sense of team - ability to anticipate the needs of the team
  • Ability to work at a fast paced and efficient manner
  • Ability to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities, under general supervision
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, push/pull for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
