A Flooring Tech, or Flooring Technician, is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of flooring materials such as carpet, hardwood, tile, laminate, and vinyl. Their work involves preparing surfaces, measuring and cutting materials, and ensuring proper installation according to specifications and safety standards. Flooring Techs may also remove old flooring and provide finishing touches to ensure a quality appearance. They often work in both residential and commercial settings, collaborating with clients, contractors, and other tradespeople.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a flooring tech, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Flooring Tech, you need strong manual dexterity, basic math skills, attention to detail, and typically a high school diploma or equivalent. These abilities ensure high-quality installations, client satisfaction, and safety on the job site.
