Job Summary:
The Floor Supervisor's responsibilities are to inspect for overall cleanliness and condition of the guest rooms, public areas, commercial laundry, and back of house areas. Leading the housekeeping daily operations and housekeeping team when the Executive Housekeeper is off-duty. To be courteous, pleasant and respond to the guests needs and requests in order to make their stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Cleans rooms, completes laundry, inspects rooms, and completes public area cleaning as needed when Executive Housekeeping is on-duty.
Routinely scheduled Saturdays and Sundays. Weekend availability required.
Responsibilities:
-Adhere to all ZMC Hotels and Hampton Brand standards.
- Responsible for for overall daily cleaning operations. Opening, facilitating, and closing the daily cleaning operations.
-Responsible for inspecting for cleanliness and condition of guest rooms, public areas, commercial laundry, and employee breakroom.
-Reporting any maintenance or life safety concerns to the Chief Engineer, Executive Housekeeper, and/or Manager on Duty.
-Reports to Executive Housekeeper and/or Manager on Duty any room status discrepancies.
-Completes room status, maintenance, and other updates using the hotel's property management system.
-Works alongside Room Attendants, Linen Attendants, Public Area Attendants, and Executive Housekeeper to ensure the daily duties are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
-Inspects applicable storage areas for cleanliness, condition, and organization. Taking action to resolve any concerns.
-Responsible for Lost & Found operations in partnership with front desk operations.
-Have knowledge of fire alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, evacuation procedures, and other safety & security procedures.
-Must be SDS trained, and completed AWAIR program training.
-Must perform any other required duties as requested by the Executive Housekeeper and/or Manager on Duty to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests.
-Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to,
financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Highly organized.
  • Must be able to work the majority of the shift in a standing position, constantly moving, and able to lift 30 pounds.
  • Strong Guest Service skills.
  • Must have attention to detail and be customer service oriented.
  • Must have multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to communicate well with guests, management, and co-workers.
  • Weekend work required.
