About the Role
The Floor Care Staff plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within our skilled nursing facility. This position focuses on the thorough cleaning and care of all floor surfaces to ensure they meet health and safety standards essential for resident well-being. The specialist will use specialized floor care techniques and equipment to preserve the appearance and longevity of flooring materials while minimizing hazards such as slips and falls. By maintaining impeccable floor cleanliness, the role directly contributes to the overall comfort and satisfaction of residents, staff, and visitors. This position requires attention to detail, consistency, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of health care housekeeping within a compassionate care setting.
Job Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and deep cleaning of all floor surfaces including washing, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing to maintain cleanliness and safety.
  • Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and polishers in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Inspect floors regularly to identify areas requiring special attention or repair and report any hazards or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Adhere strictly to infection control procedures and health care housekeeping standards to prevent contamination and ensure a sanitary environment.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to coordinate cleaning schedules that minimize disruption to residents and staff.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Previous experience in floor care or housekeeping, preferably within a health care or skilled nursing facility environment.
  • Basic knowledge of floor care products, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
