Expected Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the building vulnerability module for inland flooding and coastal flooding
  • Evaluate the effects of wave action, inundation depth, and flow velocity on buildings, contents, and business interruptions across construction types and occupancy types
  • Analyze and apply insurance claims data in the development and validation of the vulnerability module
  • Compile literature and datasets relevant to model development
  • Conduct post-event damage surveys after major events
  • Prepare technical documentation and presentations for internal and external audiences

  • Strong foundation in probability, statistical, and uncertainty analysis
  • Experience in numerical modeling and scientific programming using Python, R, C#, or similar languages
  • Experience with GIS tools, such as ArcGIS and QGIS for spatial data analysis, is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, keen orientation to detail, an eye for professional presentation, and recognized organizational abilities
  • Ability to travel within the US or internationally with little advance notice

Benefits
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) plan with company match
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
  • Commuter benefits
  • Paid time off (PTO) and company holidays
  • Paid parental leave
