A Flood Cleanup job involves removing water, drying affected areas, and restoring properties after a flood. The work may include debris removal, sanitization, and repairing damaged materials. Flood cleanup teams often work in emergency situations to minimize further property loss.

What does a typical day look like for someone working in flood cleanup?

A typical day in Flood Cleanup involves assessing water-damaged areas, setting up and operating specialized drying or extraction equipment, removing debris and contaminated materials, and cleaning or disinfecting affected spaces. Team members often work in groups, coordinating efforts to restore homes or businesses as quickly and safely as possible. The work can be physically demanding and may require flexibility with hours, especially during emergency response situations. Additionally, communication with property owners and insurance representatives is common, as you’ll play an important role in documenting damage and progress throughout each project.
