Job Description:

Nurse Manager - Float Pool

The Float Pool Nurse Manager provides leadership and oversight for the Float Pool team, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care across multiple inpatient units.

  • This role is responsible for staffing, team development, operational excellence, and supporting caregivers while maintaining flexibility to meet the changing needs of the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.

  • Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.

  • Requires three years of recent clinical experience and three years of management experience at the Charge Nurse level or higher.

  • Expertise in commonly used computer software usage and ability to learn new computer programs quickly required.

  • Competence in professional nursing practice including teaching, leadership and management skills required.

  • Excellent clinical/critical thinking skills, organizational, analytical, fiscal, and customer service skills required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent experience in specialty preferred.
