Job Title:  Senior Specialist, Systems Integration and Test Engineering

Job Description:  

This position provides system integration and test engineering expertise across a broad range of engineering tasks, from proposals to system architecture to hardware development, integration, test and delivery.  This position will be part of a larger program team dedicated to providing the technical leadership necessary to meet the customer's technical, cost and schedule needs.

Essential Functions: 

  • Applies system integration and test engineering standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques to complex payloads and space vehicles
  • Specifies requirements, architects I&T approaches, analyzes, establishes flow down of requirements across flight hardware subsystems and critical ground support equipment
  • Participates in design peer reviews, plans top level I&T flow with a perspective on efficient use of assets and facilities.
  • Provides technical support to detailed test plans and guides team on I&T processes and procedures appropriate to the complexity of the program
  • Responsible for technical management of complex engineering tasks in electrical, mechanical, optical, software, systems, and/or hardware components
  • Directly supports detailed test planning and on-the-floor test execution for system level tests, based on subject matter expertise
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance (TS/SCI)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Optical or thermal engineering background

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Technical leadership with System I&T experience
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas: integration of hardware & software systems, system level TVAC testing, system level dynamic testing, EMI testing, electrical system end-end test, space vehicle level integration & test
  • Experience working closely with Customers, Business Development, and all functional disciplines
  • Understanding of I&T development processes and life cycle
