SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal ofenabling human life on Mars.
LAUNCH OPERATIONS ENGINEER (STARSHIP)At SpaceX, our commitment to reliability begins with design but is realized through exhaustive testing and a high future launch cadence at our Starbase, TX facility. In order to thoroughly vet hardware and ensure vehicle quality, the launch operations team pushes our hardware to its limits in as close to flight‐like conditions as possible, and then sends it to orbit! Launch operations engineers are ultimately responsible for the entire operational process. They develop test requirements, develop launch plans, integrate the on‑pad flight/test articles, perform on‑console operation of the entire launch system, conduct tests, analyze data to confirm performance and inform the vehicle and ground design/production process, and are the primary flight controllers for launch events.
