This position is onsite in Fort Worth, TX however will require travel with mininal notice based on business needs.

Flight Safety - Air Safety Investigator

Are you passionate about aviation safety and driven to uncover the truth behind complex incidents? Join our team as an Air Safety Investigator at Bell, where you'll play a critical role in supporting worldwide accident investigations. As part of a global leader in helicopter manufacturing, you'll collaborate with industry experts, analyze data, and provide key insights to enhance safety standards and prevent future occurrences. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact on aviation safety while working in a dynamic and challenging environment

What you'll be doing as the Air Safety Investigator

  • Respond to aviation accidents and incidents, often with minimal notice.
  • Conduct on-site investigations, including wreckage examinations, witness interviews, and data collection.
  • Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies, as well as manufacturers and operators.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings, conclusions, and safety recommendations.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with international accident investigation organizations.
  • Participate in technical reviews, hearings, or meetings conducted by the NTSB, FAA, or foreign authorities, as appropriate.
  • Stay up-to-date with aviation systems, regulations, and investigative techniques.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the organization's mission.

Skills You Bring To this Role

    Bachelor's degree
    Must hold either a Pilot's License or an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate; possessing both is preferred. Equivalent military aviation qualifications  will also be considered.    
    Minimum of 5 years of experience in air safety investigation or relevant aviation experience in engineering, piloting, or maintenance.   
    Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills and the ability to thrive in team-based environments.
    Knowledgeable in Safety Management Systems (SMS), Risk Management, Human Factors, Accident Prevention, and/or Emergency Response Planning.
    Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
