Job Overview
AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner - Flight Medicine to support the 88th Medical Group, Operational Medical Readiness Squadron (OMRS) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The Nurse Practitioner will provide primary and occupational healthcare services to military personnel, conduct physical examinations, diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions, administer immunizations, promote preventive healthcare, and support medical readiness requirements.
Specific Duties:
  • Perform patient assessments, physical examinations, and medical evaluations.
  • Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, chronic diseases, and minor injuries.
  • Prescribe medications and treatment plans within scope of practice.
  • Administer immunizations and preventive health services.
  • Provide patient education and health counseling.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and specialty providers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement activities, and continuing education programs.
Qualifications
Degree:
  • Master's degree in nursing.
Education :
  • Graduate from an ACEN or CCNE accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Certification:
  • Current Nurse Practitioner certification through ANCC, AANP, or equivalent national certification body
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience:
  • Primary Care, Occupational Medicine, or Aeromedical/Flight Medicine experience preferred
Licensure:
  • Current, full, active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license
  • Active DEA registration
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of primary care and preventive medicine.
  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.
Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday
  • 0715 - 1615
  • 40 hours per week
  • No on-call requirements
Immunization Requirement:
  • Current immunizations as required by DHA and facility policy.
  • TB screening completed within the previous 12 months.
Security Requirement:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must successfully complete credentialing, privileging, and background screening requirements

Compensation: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
