Field Service Technician - Flexpipe division (Calgary / Grand Prairie)

Summary

As a Field Service Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality installation and training services that enable clients and contractors to successfully deploy Flexpipe products. This position directly impacts customer satisfaction and operational success by ensuring installations meet strict standards and by serving as the on-site technical expert. Through a combination of hands-on fieldwork, customer interaction, and safety leadership, you will enhance the overall Flexpipe experience in real-world operating environments.

 

Responsibilities

  • Execute field installations of Flexpipe fittings while serving as the on-site technical expert to support customer projects and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Train client teams and contractors to build proficiency in Flexpipe products and installation practices.
  • Supervise on-site installations to ensure all work meets or exceeds established standards and maintains infrastructure integrity.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service by meeting expectations, providing technical guidance, and ensuring client satisfaction during field operations.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements and actively promote a safe work environment.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and comply with all applicable regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including timesheets, daily tickets, safety records, training forms, and assessments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support project success.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience required; 3-5 years preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Basic computer proficiency, including MS Word and email
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in field environments
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; pipeline installation or repair experience is preferred
  • Oilfield experience is considered an asset
  • Ability to work in demanding outdoor conditions, including extreme weather and exposure to heavy equipment
  • Valid passport and ability to travel across Canada and the United States as required
  • Fluency in English required
  • Strong work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to teamwork and safety
