Job Overview:

The Apprentice will have the responsibility of attending school (studying Mechatronics) and working in the shops shadowing and performing basic maintenance tasks and repairs to gain skills for future responsibilities.  These responsibilities could include preventive maintenance and project work.  This is a learning role

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Shadow Multi-Craft Maintenance Tech's to learn equipment and repairs

Assist in the department(s) where needed, performing various Maintenance related tasks to support business needs.

Daily equipment checks and inspections

Preventative Maintenance as required

Manage small projects as needed

Participates in regularly scheduled meetings

Attend Training Classes at ECPI during business hours

Interact and assist team members by following defined procedures and solutions

Other Job Duties as Needed

Qualifications:

       Required High School Diploma or GED experience working in a manufacturing environment and general mechanical/electrical understanding. 

       Indirect relevant experience: working towards a related degree or certification

       Must be a MBV team member with at least 90 days of service and be in good standing to be eligible (no corrective actions or attendance issues above written warning)

       Must pass school entrance exam with 80% or higher

       Must be willing work a flexible schedule that includes some weekends for PM's and Projects

       Must be willing to work any shift or shop upon successful completion of program as determined by business needs

Knowledge and Skills:

       Perform repair work including necessary disassembly and re-assembly of production equipment

       Perform equipment PM tasks to ensure manufacturer recommended specifications are maintained

       Maintains repair and maintenance records

       Daily equipment checks, monitoring production equipment performance

       Interact with and support associates within assigned production areas

       Procurement of operative materials, equipment, and service providers

       All other duties as required to support business needs

       Basic computer skills required
