Group/Division

The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Join KLA as a Development Instructor and play a critical role at the front end of the product lifecycle. You'll work directly with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to transform evolving technical specifications into worldclass training that enables KLA's global field service engineers and customers to successfully support our most advanced tools.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Become a technical subject matter expert on 2-3 new semiconductor products per year during early development phases.

  • Create comprehensive training packages from scratch: instructor guides, student materials, hands-on labs, assessments, and certification paths

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Product Support, and Manufacturing teams to ensure technical accuracy as products evolve

  • Design multi-level certification frameworks that define competency standards

  • Deliver specialized training to alpha/beta customers and early-adopter field engineers and Train-the-Trainer sessions for Delivery Instructors

  • Experiment with innovative delivery methods (AR/MR, hybrid, scenario-based learning) to maximize learning effectiveness

WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL HERE

Preferred Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Physics, or related technical field (Master's preferred)

  • 3-5 years of experience in semiconductor equipment, service engineering, manufacturing, or technical training

  • Proven ability to learn complex technical systems rapidly and independently

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (creating training curriculum and training delivery)

  • Comfortable working in ambiguity-products change frequently during PLC Phases

  • Willingness to travel (up to 25% for alpha/beta training and engineering site visits)

  • Optical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering background

  • Experience with KLA reticle inspection equipment (e.g., Rapid 5xx / 6xx) or similar advanced semiconductor tools

  • Prior experience developing or delivering technical training (formal or informal)

  • Demonstrated success working in matrixed, multistakeholder environments

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 0 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years; or equivalent work experience
