Job description

A day on the storm line

Dawn breaks over a St. Louis neighborhood just days after a hailstorm. You park, check your route, and introduce yourself to a homeowner who’s unsure where to start. You scale the roof, document damage, walk them through how insurance claims work, and outline a clear plan. By evening, you’ve turned uncertainty into confidence—and a signed restoration agreement that protects their home and family.

About Evolved Construction

We help St. Louis–area homeowners recover after severe weather. Since 2021, our revenue has tripled—surpassing $3M in restoration work in 2025—and we’re tracking toward $12M in 2026. We’re expanding the team to keep pace with that growth and impact.

Our purpose is simple: restore trust in the trades through worry‑free exterior protection delivered by people who genuinely care. Good people. Great work. Stronger communities.

The opportunity

This is a commission-forward, field-based sales role focused on residential roofing and exterior restoration after storms. You’ll meet homeowners, complete inspections, explain the insurance process, and guide them from first conversation to signed agreement. No two days look the same—and the earnings potential is real. We’re hiring 3–5 consultants.

  • Year-one reps who complete training and work the process consistently average around $100K
  • Top 25% earn $200K+
  • Top performer in 2025 earned $300K+
  • Average commission is approximately $2,500 per completed claim
What the work actually looks like
  • Proactive outreach: frequent door-to-door introductions (mostly cold) where “no” is common before the “yes.”
  • Hands-on inspections: climbing ladders and roofs in summer heat and early spring cold.
  • Storm surge weeks: expect evening and some Saturday work right after major weather events.
  • Field autonomy: some days include 100+ miles of driving and 6+ hours working independently.
Your impact
  • Inspect and document storm damage with photos and notes
  • Educate homeowners on repair timelines and the insurance claims process
  • Guide customers through restoration agreements
  • Measure exteriors and build accurate estimates
  • Self-generate opportunities and run company-provided leads
What you bring
  • Comfort with (or eagerness to learn) door-to-door, cold-approach conversations
  • Flexible, weather-driven schedule with surge weeks after storms
  • Discipline to manage a roughly 60-day sales cycle from inspection to job completion prior to commission payout
  • Ability to climb ladders and access residential roofs
  • Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record
  • Smartphone for photos, video, and company apps
  • Self-motivation to thrive solo in the field for extended stretches
  • Alignment with our values: integrity, accountability, safety, and a growth mindset
  • Prior sales experience is a plus—not a prerequisite. We hire for drive and coachability.
Why people choose Evolved

You won’t just sell—you’ll build a career with a team that invests in you. Our people learn rapidly, earn more, step into leadership, and create work they’re proud of. We don’t cap potential for the right performers.

Training & onboarding

No roofing or insurance background? We’ve got you. New hires complete a 7‑day fast‑track program covering:

  • Classroom training on storm damage, construction fundamentals, and insurance claims
  • Ride‑alongs and live roof inspections with experienced reps
  • Role‑plays and objection handling practice

By week’s end, you’ll know how to represent homeowners professionally and uphold our worry‑free standard.

Compensation & benefits
  • $150,000 on‑target earnings potential; year-one average around $100K; Top 25%: $200K+; 2025 top rep: $300K+
  • Guaranteed pay plus commission
  • Average commission: about $2,500 per completed claim
  • Monthly and annual performance bonuses
  • Vehicle allowance
  • Company truck for top producers (after $250K in closed revenue)
  • Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
How to apply

We read every application. Please include a brief response to this prompt:

“This role involves walking up to homeowners you’ve never met and asking to inspect their roof. Tell us about a time you’ve done something similar—or explain why you believe you’d be good at it.”

No wrong answers—we’re looking for self‑awareness and genuine enthusiasm for the work. If you’re ready to grow with good people doing great work for our community, apply today.
