Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Georgia license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: ICU skills include arrhythmia monitoring, sedation, paralytics, titratable drips knowledge, CVP monitoring, care of s/p craniotomy patients, and TPA administration.

Preferred Skills/Experience: First-time travelers will be considered, but are not preferred.

Special Requests: Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved if the traveler extends the contract to accommodate it. Open to 6, 8, 10 or 13 week contract

Unit Details: Combined medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiac ICU caring for patients with drug overdose, psychosis, MI, subarachnoid hemorrhage, MVC, sepsis, ARF, AAA, acute hypoxic respiratory failure, hypoglycemia, pneumonia, and suicide attempts. Uses Life Link, CRRT, intra-aortic balloon pump, Glucommander, cardiac monitors, Precision BBG monitor, specialty beds, alarms, bed and chair alarms, BiPAP, ventilators, Alaris pumps, Virtual RN, and Virtual Patient Observer. Travelers are not assigned CRRT and intra-aortic balloon pump patients. MedSurg ratios: days 1:5, up to 1:6 in staffing crisis; nights 1:6. HAU (PCU level): 1:3.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. On-call may be required if census is low, but this is rare. 70% of holidays.

Floating Requirements: Floats to all med surg and critical care areas, including ED boarders; may also float to ICU or ER.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
