Job description

Fall 2026 Intern - Communications
C4ADS is looking for an ambitious and energetic individual who is passionate about our mission to detect and defeat global illicit networks to join our Business Development team. This is an exciting, paid opportunity for a self-starter who wants to combine their interest in international affairs, strategic partnerships, and organizational growth to help expand C4ADS' impact.
What You'll Do
  • Conduct research on prospective funders, partners, and stakeholders across the nonprofit, philanthropic, government, and private sectors
  • Assist in identifying and tracking new funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships
  • Support the preparation of donor and partner outreach materials, presentations, briefing documents, and proposals
  • Help coordinate meetings, events, and engagement opportunities with external stakeholders
  • Monitor developments in the philanthropic, policy, and international affairs landscapes to identify potential opportunities for organizational growth
  • Research and map key actors across issue areas, regions, and sectors relevant to C4ADS' mission
  • Collaborate across teams to gather information, success stories, and programmatic updates for external engagement efforts

What We're Looking For
  • Able to convey complex information - including network linkages, software solutions, data analysis, and organizational impact - to diverse audiences in a clear, concise, and compelling manner
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Highly collaborative, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and manages competing priorities effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Able to track deadlines, manage multiple projects, and proactively flag potential conflicts
  • Interest in nonprofit growth, philanthropy, fundraising, partnerships, and international affairs
  • Previous experience with a nonprofit, NGO, think tank, consulting firm, government agency, philanthropic office, or business development function preferred

Program Details
  • Open to current undergraduate students, graduate students, and recent graduates.
  • Program starts 9/1/2016 and will run 12-14 weeks
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US; C4ADS does not sponsor work authorizations for interns
  • Stipend of up to $9,600 per semester, for interns who can commit to at least 30 hours per week
  • Please note that we ask you are able to commit to at least 30 hours per week to your work.
