SUMMARY

The Sewist is responsible for producing high-quality custom drapery, AV-Drop skins, and other fabric products. This role requires strong sewing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production deadlines and quality standards. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate industrial sewing equipment, including straight stitch and overlock. 
  • Measure, cut, sew, and finish fabric products according to work orders and specifications. 
  • Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and craftsmanship. 
  • Follow instructions and drawings. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. 
  • Assist with fabric handling, material organization, and inventory as needed. 
  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality standards. 
  • Support team members and assist with other fabrication tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of sewing experience preferred. 
  • Experience with industrial sewing machines. 
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure and follow specifications. 
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. 
  • Willingness to work overtime when required.
