Building time management and route-planning abilities is key to successfully meeting delivery deadlines and maintaining a positive experience for clients.

What is the difference between Flexible Rv Delivery Driver vs RV Technician?

AspectFlexible Rv Delivery DriverRV Technician

The Flexible Rv Delivery Driver primarily focuses on transporting RVs to customers, requiring a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. While the delivery driver works mainly on the road, the technician works in repair facilities. Both roles are essential in the RV industry but serve different functions.

What is a flexible RV delivery driver?

Flexible RV Delivery Drivers are professionals who transport recreational vehicles (RVs) from manufacturers or dealerships to customers or sales locations. They often work on a contract or freelance basis, allowing them to choose assignments that fit their schedules. This role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to handle large vehicles, and sometimes overnight travel. Drivers are responsible for ensuring safe and timely delivery, performing basic vehicle inspections, and maintaining delivery records. The 'flexible' aspect refers to the ability to accept jobs based on personal availability rather than a fixed schedule.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a flexible RV delivery driver?

To thrive as a Flexible RV Delivery Driver, you need a valid driver's license, safe driving record, knowledge of road safety regulations, and sometimes experience with towing or operating large vehicles. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems, route planning applications, and electronic logging devices is often required. Reliability, time management, and strong customer service skills help drivers stand out when coordinating logistics and interacting with clients. These skills ensure timely, safe deliveries and build trust with customers and employers in a transportation-focused role.

Job description

Currently looking for 3pm to Close Delivery Drivers.
Our Delivery Drivers regularly take home $25+ an hour with a combination of tips, a driver maintenance reimbursement (DMR), and their hourly wage.
Work as short as 11am-2pm or work through Lunch and Dinner. Our flexible shift hours mean there is something for everyone's schedule.
Tips and DMR are paid out daily.
A Jimmy John's Delivery Driver's goal is to get that sandwich in the customer's hand as quickly as possible. We do this by learning the most efficient routes, triple-checking orders to ensure everything is accounted for, and hustling on our feet (while always being safe and law abiding on the street). While not on the road, Delivery Drivers work in the store (preparing sandwiches, taking orders, helping clean) and are compensated accordingly. Delivery is a customer service job, so following a customer's request and doing it with a smile can lead to more successful days.
Benefits:

  • The potential to earn up to $25+ per hour (This includes tips, DMR, and your hourly wage)
  • Reimbursement towards your personal cell phone use
  • Free employee meals every shift
  • Career/Promotion Opportunities
  • Retirement Planning through My Illinois Savings
  • Earned Paid Time Off after required waiting period
Requirements:
  • MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD.
  • MUST HAVE A VEHICLE, VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE, PROOF OF INSURANCE, AND A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD.
  • MUST DRIVE SAFE AND OBEY THE RULES OF THE ROAD.
  • WILL WORK AS AN INSHOPPER WHEN THERE ARE NO DELIVERIES.
You are seeking employment with JS Fort Group, Inc, an independently owned & operated franchise of the Jimmy John's Franchise, LLC system. You are not seeking employment with Jimmy John's Franchisor, SPV, LLC (the franchisor of the Jimmy John's system) or any of its affiliates, which are separate and wholly independent companies from JS Fort Group, Inc.
Each Jimmy John's franchisee is an independent employer and thus solely responsible for hiring decisions and all other employment-related matters for the franchisee's restaurant(s). The terms "Company," "Jimmy John's," "we," "our," or "us" refer to the specific entity (corporate or franchise) that owns and operates the Jimmy John's restaurant to which you are applying.
Jimmy John's and its franchisees are equal opportunity employers.
