Flexible Remote 3D Rendering information

What is a flexible remote 3d rendering?

A Flexible Remote 3D Rendering job involves creating three-dimensional visualizations, models, or animations for various industries—such as architecture, gaming, advertising, or product design—while working remotely and often with flexible hours. Professionals in this role use specialized software to produce realistic images or simulations based on client specifications. The flexibility allows artists to manage their own schedules, making it an attractive option for those seeking work-life balance or freelance opportunities. Communication and project management are typically handled online, and deliverables are shared digitally.

What skills and qualifications are needed for flexible remote 3d rendering?

To thrive as a Flexible Remote 3D Rendering Specialist, you need a strong background in 3D modeling, rendering techniques, and visual design, often supported by a degree in design, architecture, or a related field. Expertise in industry-standard software such as Autodesk 3ds Max, Blender, V-Ray, or Cinema 4D, as well as familiarity with remote collaboration tools, is typically required. Excellent time management, self-motivation, and clear communication are essential soft skills for excelling in a remote and flexible work environment. These skills ensure the delivery of high-quality visual outputs while efficiently collaborating with clients and teams from a distance.

What are common challenges in flexible remote 3d rendering?

One common challenge in flexible remote 3D rendering roles is managing communication and collaboration across different time zones, especially when working with international teams or clients. Additionally, ensuring hardware and software compatibility remotely can be tricky, as rendering high-quality 3D visuals often requires powerful computers and stable internet connections. Effective self-management is also crucial, as meeting tight deadlines and handling multiple projects simultaneously without direct supervision can be demanding. However, with the right tools and proactive communication, these challenges can be successfully navigated.

What is the difference between Flexible Remote 3D Rendering vs 3D Modeler?

Flexible Remote 3D Rendering focuses on creating high-quality visualizations using rendering software, often working remotely with flexible hours. 3D Modelers primarily develop 3D assets and models, which may be used in various industries like gaming or animation. While both roles require strong technical skills and portfolios, rendering specialists emphasize visualization and software proficiency, whereas modelers focus on asset creation. The roles often overlap but serve different stages of the 3D production pipeline.

About C-P Systems

Established in 1995 from 3M's Chemical Division, C-P Systems is a process mechanical engineering consulting firm specializing in piping design, P&ID development, process engineering, laser scanning, and construction documentation for industrial clients across the United States.

We're a team of engineers and support staff who take pride in doing things right. Our low turnover reflects a culture built on trust, long-term relationships, and a genuine commitment to quality for our customers and for each other. We're in an active growth phase, diversifying our customer base and building the internal infrastructure to support it.

 About the Role

We are seeking a motivated entry-level Chemical or Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of industrial process systems. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on projects from initial process design through construction, startup, and commissioning. The successful candidate will assist in process modeling, equipment sizing, instrumentation development, and preparation of construction bid packages while gaining hands-on experience in project execution and field support.

This role will initially be hybrid, with travel to our office in Vadnais Heights on a regular schedule during on-boarding and training. Once fully trained and able to work independently, the position will be allowed to move to fully remote, while attendance in the office is optional, if desired.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for new and existing process systems
  • Perform engineering calculations and size process equipment including pumps, heat exchangers, condensers, pressure relief devices, and related components
  • Conduct fluid flow modeling and hydraulic analyses to determine appropriate sizing of piping systems, process equipment, valves, and instrumentation
  • Prepare instrument, valve, and equipment lists, along with equipment data sheets to support project design and execution
  • Coordinate with equipment and instrumentation vendors to obtain technical information and quotations
  • Support development of process control philosophies and provide input on control logic, automation requirements, and process safety systems
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to develop 3D process layouts and detailed engineering packages
  • Contribute to the preparation of complete mechanical bid packages suitable for contractor pricing  and construction
  • Provide construction, installation, commissioning, and startup support to ensure systems are installed and operate as intended
  • Participate in field inspections, troubleshooting, and process optimization activities during project execution
  • Travel as necessary to customer sites domestically for project support, including data collection, site walkdowns, and project meetings

Qualifications

  • B.S. Chemical Engineering preferred, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering considered with the correct supplemental experience
  • 0-2 years of prior experience in a chemical manufacturing (or similar) environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Acute attention to detail
  • US Citizenship (required by some of our customers for certain intellectual property)
  • Familiarity with CAD software (i.e. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) a plus
  • Previous plant experience preferred

 Compensation

Rate: $70,000 - $80,000 / yr

Benefits:

  • Health insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Retirement plan (401K, profit-sharing)
  • Paid time off
  • Professional development assistance
