Our programs deliver hands-on enrichment activities, homework support, active play, social-emotional learning, and more - all guided by a mission to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind.
As an Educator, you'll work directly with kids - leading activities, facilitating a safe and structured environment, and building relationships - while gaining valuable experience in education and child development.
In short, your influence will shape kids' futures, helping them develop the skills they need to thrive in school, at home, and beyond.
Pay Rate: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour (based on education and experience)
Program Hours: Monday - Friday, After School: 2:45PM-6:00 PM
Location: Glenview, IL
What You'll Do
  • Greet and check in students at the start of each session; take attendance and maintain accurate records
  • Plan and lead daily activities, games, and enrichment lessons appropriate for the age group you're working with
  • Facilitate homework time and support with academic tasks as needed
  • Supervise students during free play, snack time, and transitions, ensuring a safe and structured environment
  • Address minor conflicts or behavior issues using positive guidance techniques

  • Report incidents, injuries, or safety concerns to your Program Manager or site lead promptly; log incident reports
  • Set up and clean up program space and materials each day
  • Attend brief daily team meetings to coordinate with other staff
What You'll Gain
  • Teachers & paraprofessionals: Pick up extra hours and income right at your own school.
  • Retired educators: Stay connected to your lifelong passion and earn supplemental income.
  • Education students: Gain real-world experience in education and child development - lead activities, build your resume, and make a real difference in your community.
  • Childcare & daycare professionals: Trade rigid daycare hours for flexible AM/PM shifts.
  • Parents & everyone else: Work on-site at your own kid's school (with free RAS tuition for staff), or simply explore a career in education - either way, you'll gain real skills, a great team, and a high-impact role in your community.
What We're Looking For
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 (preferred)
  • Comfortable leading groups of children in activities and games
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills with both children and adults
  • Reliable and punctual; able to commit to a consistent part-time schedule
