Job description

Position type: Onsite.
Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph (active, transferred).
Citizenship: U.S. Citizen required.

In the Principal Signals Software Engineering role, you will design, develop, optimize, and test systems using models to satisfy the customer mission for our satellite ground systems team.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate signal processing software with satellite ground systems.
  • Develop and implement algorithms for signal processing, including Fourier transforms, digital signal processing, and RF signal processing.
  • Analyze and optimize signal processing algorithms for improved performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to signal processing software.
  • Lead one or more software development teams and ensure work is completed in accordance with established software development processes.
  • Follow established software processes and procedures, documentation, and maintenance/management of operations concepts and requirements.
Qualifications
  • Active and transferable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Typical requirement: STEM degree and minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience unless otherwise noted.
  • Experience as a Signals Software Engineer (SSWE) or equivalent, with a focus on radio frequency (RF) and signal processing, including Fourier transforms, filtering, communications theory, digital modulation, error control coding, and signal analysis tools (e.g., Wignerโ€‘Ville transform, DVT).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with softwareโ€‘defined radio architectures.
  • Programming languages: Java, C, C++, Python.
  • Experience with satellite communication systems and ground systems.
  • Experience with commercial wireless standards.
  • Experience with geolocation techniques.
  • Experience with software configuration management.
  • Experience with Python and MATLAB.
