The tech startup is looking for a DevOps Engineer with AWS experience to join the tech team.
As a DevOps Engineer, you'll be working alongside other engineers and developers, collaborating on all layers of our extensive infrastructure for the video platform.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring, maintaining and updating all system infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot production issues and efficiently communicate details with relevant parties.
- Implement automation tools and frameworks were appropriate.
- Author and conduct tests to ensure security, performance, and availability.
- Collaborate with the rest of the tech team to design, develop and launch new features for our video player and web platform.
- Seek optimizations and work to reduce system costs were possible.
- Innovation! We are always looking for efficient new ways to solve problems as they arise
Qualifications
Minimum Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with high load production systems.
- Advanced Linux (specifically Ubuntu) knowledge.
- Ability to code in: BASH, Python, and Javascript (Node).
- Experience in system automation.
- Ability to be part of an on-call rotation.
- Basic knowledge of AWS, Git, Docker, and CI/CD.
- You possess a problem-solving attitude.
- You can work independently and as part of a team.
Bonus Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of distributed computing and data systems, multi-region presence, high traffic websites.
- Advanced or Expert level knowledge in MySQL, API design/integration, Docker, AWS, or any relevant technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of immutable infrastructure, compostable infrastructure, and/or serverless computing.
