Job description

PLC and Robotics Maintenance Specialist — Bolingbrook, ILRole Snapshot
  • Type: Contract (approx. 6–12 months)
  • Hours: Day shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00/7:00 a.m. – 2:30/3:30 p.m., plus most Saturdays
  • Pay: Up to $48.00/hour, commensurate with proven work history
  • Environment: Floor-based role in an automated manufacturing facility
  • Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Your Impact
  • Diagnose and repair issues across Allen‑Bradley PLCs, ladder logic, HMIs, servo drives, motion control, CNC controls, and plant electrical systems
  • Perform Fanuc robot troubleshooting and implement basic program changes to stabilize processes
  • Validate Safety PLCs and uphold machine safety system integrity
  • Support vision systems to sustain quality inspection performance
  • Respond with urgency to unplanned downtime, identify root causes, and collaborate with technicians to return equipment to service safely
  • Execute PMs, optimize preventive strategies, record results and corrective actions in CMMS, and surface trends that signal developing failures
  • Model safe work at all times: follow OSHA, NFPA, arc‑flash, and LOTO procedures
Must‑Haves
  • 3–5+ years in industrial controls/electrical troubleshooting
  • Hands‑on expertise with Allen‑Bradley PLC platforms and ladder logic diagnostics
  • Experience with servo/motion systems, CNC machinery, HMIs, and industrial electrical
  • Fanuc robot troubleshooting (programming experience is a plus)
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics
  • Knowledge of automated machining/production environments
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting mindset
Nice‑to‑Haves
  • PLC integration/modification experience
  • Safety PLC troubleshooting
  • Machine vision familiarity
  • Exposure to CNC programming
