Job Details
  • Position: ICU Registered Nurse (Travel RN)

  • Schedule: Evening/night coverage with every other weekend and some holidays required

Job Requirements
  • Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience in the specialty within the last 3 years
  • ICU nursing experience required
  • Neurosurgery experience preferred
  • Epic charting experience required
  • BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
  • Ability to pass a telemetry exam prior to start
  • Willingness to care for both ICU and IMC patient populations
  • Must be willing to float as needed
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality critical care nursing to adult neuro, neurosurgical, and stroke patients in a 12-bed neuroscience critical care unit
  • Manage complex conditions such as ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, traumatic brain injury, hydrocephalus, cerebral aneurysm, and spinal cord injuries
  • Deliver skilled bedside ICU care using vasoactive drips, hemodynamic monitoring, feeding tubes, and drains
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry, dysrhythmias, and neurologic status with accuracy and urgency
  • Support procedures and therapies involving EVDs, lumbar drains, CereLink monitoring, and ventilator management
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe, effective, patient-centered care
  • Maintain strong documentation standards using Epic and contribute to a supportive, high-performing nursing team
