Founded in 1982, Hose Master has established itself as the first choice in metal hose and metal expansion joints for industrial markets including power generation, refining and petrochemical, steel, pulp and paper, chemical processing, marine and offshore, liquid terminals, and bulk material handling.

The Prepper is responsible for measuring, cutting, and crimping hose to customer specifications. They will also trim and inspect braid for damage. They will perform tasks in support of assigned area including but not limited to: helping inspection pull hoses, helping material handlers with hand braiding. Required to cross train across company departments based on business needs.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspects braid for damage
  • Sets saw and track for cutting
  • Measures, cuts and crimps hose length to customer specifications
  • Crimps & stamps/etches ferrules
  • Fits crimp collars on
  • Verifies cut-length calculations
  • Trims braid
  • Checks bins
  • Reads and understands Travelers /Job Orders and tolerance chart
  • Reacts to change effectively and handles other essential tasks as assigned
  • Helps inspection pull hoses, material handlers hand braid, or cleans area whenever necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
  • Good basic math skills.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately & convert measurement to decimals
