Job description

Role: R&D Engineer_Human Factors
Location: Milpitas, CA - 95035
Duration: 12 Months
Shift Timings: 8am-5pm
Work Mode:Onsite
Open to National Search:Yes (candidates must relocate if not local)
Looking for (Skills):
Human Factors / Usability Engineering professional with strong experience in user experience (UX), usability studies, and safety-focused product design, preferably in the medical device industry.
Must have Skills:
* Human Factors Engineering / Usability Engineering
* User Experience (UX) and usability testing
* Risk management and safety analysis
* Experience working in regulated environments (medical device preferred)
* Ability to conduct usability studies and user-centered design activities
Good to have skills:
* Experience working with hardware, software, and service systems
* Medical device product development experience
* Knowledge of regulatory usability standards and documentation
Day to day activity:
* Conduct and support human factors and usability engineering activities
* Perform usability studies and user research
* Analyze user interaction risks and safety considerations
* Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teamsduring product development
* Ensure products are designed with user safety and usability in mind
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Factors, Engineering, Psychology, Design, or related field
Experience:
Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience(10 years preferred) in human factors / usability engineering.
Interview:
Manager interview (may include technical discussion around usability and human factors experience).
