INVENTORY CONTROLLERMONTREAL PLANT | ON-SITE ROLE FIVE DAYS A WEEK
ABOUT YOU:
You are a hands-on operations leader who understands that production excellence starts with supply continuity and precision planning. As Inventory Controller, you will oversee materials management, scheduling accuracy, and inventory performance for the Montreal plant and outsourced manufacturing partners. You will ensure metal supply continuity while strengthening the systems, processes, and partnerships that support efficient production and delivery.
This role is critical to maintaining operational flow, minimizing disruption, and driving continuous improvement across the manufacturing ecosystem.
YOU WILL:
  • Provide leadership over planning and scheduling. Drive visibility and direction for production scheduling, materials planning, and inventory management.
  • Ensure raw material availability. Manage and coordinate supply of raw materials for both domestic and international manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain continuity of supply. Provide accurate monthly reporting on supply risks and proactively drive issue resolution and recommendations.
  • Improve supply chain processes. Assist in the design and implementation of process enhancements to improve manufacturing and supplier effectiveness.
  • Oversee subcontractor production performance. Partner closely with outsourced manufacturers to optimize production flow and continuous improvement initiatives.
YOU HAVE:
  • Education. Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Manufacturing Experience. 5+ years of relevant experience in materials management, scheduling, or production planning.
  • Lean amp; Continuous Improvement Knowledge. Training and application of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Jewelry Manufacturing Expertise. Strong understanding of jewelry production processes and supply dynamics.
  • MRP Systems Proficiency. Experience creating and maintaining MRP/MDS/MPS in high-volume build-to-order or made-to-order environments.
  • Excel Proficiency. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for planning and analysis.
  • Financial Acumen. Knowledge of budgeting and cost accounting principles.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving Skills. Ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
  • Execution Agility. Comfortable managing multiple projects and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Professional Communication Skills. Ability to communicate effectively with plant leadership, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
