Job description

If you are looking for a dynamic, fast-growth company with big ideas, you have come to the right place! GTA is looking for experienced Field Geologists in our QUAKERTOWN, PA office. Responsibilities include construction monitoring and testing of soil, concrete, and other materials. Ample opportunities for training, certifications and career advancement. You must own a vehicle, have a good driving record, like working with people, and enjoy working outdoors. Experience is preferred, but we will accept entry level candidates and provide training!
Successful candidates MUST have:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • B.S. in Geology, but not required
  • Certificates such as NICET, ACI, PADOT, ICC
  • Own a Reliable Vehicle and have a Good Driving Record
  • Enjoy working outdoors
  • Ability to work alone as well as in a group

This position may require standing for extended durations as well as repetitive motions such as lifting or hammering. The employee must have the ability to use their hands to handle, finger or feel; reach, climb or balance; crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit, see and smell; including close, distance and peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to focus. The employee will regularly lift and/or move 60 pounds; and occasionally move 80 pounds or more (such as a loaded wheelbarrow of concrete or soil samples).
GTA will provide you with Personal Protective Equipment, which includes High Visibility Vest, Hard Hat, Gloves, and Safety Glasses.
