Data Entry Operator – Intermediate

Location: Merrillville, IN (Onsite) Duration: Contract Experience Required: 4–6 Years

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Intermediate Data Entry Operator to join our team in Merrillville, IN. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry experience, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy. This role involves handling confidential information, performing data cleanup, generating reports, and ensuring the integrity of data across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform intermediate to advanced data entry with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Enter, verify, and maintain alphanumeric data in various systems.
  • Review and proof data for completeness and accuracy, correcting errors as needed.
  • Support multiple data entry projects and data cleanup initiatives.
  • Prioritize work by sorting, coding, and organizing information.
  • Generate reports based on entered and maintained data.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate records and tracking reports.
  • Make recommendations and decisions within established policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members as experience grows.
  • Perform basic equipment adjustments, including switching sets and changing control features when required.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred.
  • 4–6 years of experience in data entry, administrative support, or a related role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
    • Filtering and sorting data
    • Creating and managing columns
    • Accurate data entry
    • Basic formulas and functions (preferred)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities.
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong data verification and quality control skills.
  • Ability to type approximately 10,000 keystrokes per hour.
  • Good mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
