Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Flexi Motion, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including assessments of movement capabilities and functional limitations.
• Develop, implement, and adapt comprehensive treatment plans focused on orthopedic rehabilitation goals.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic procedures and the importance of adherence to the rehabilitation process.
• Lead facility educational in-services aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of therapy services.
• Attend and contribute to Care Plan Meetings, offering insights on patients' progress and adjusting treatment protocols as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Work closely with supervising therapists to ensure continuity of care and the incorporation of best practices into treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain conditions. Our patient population ranges from post-operative care to rehabilitation for sports injuries and age-related musculoskeletal issues. Your expertise will be critical in helping patients regain mobility, strength, and overall function, contributing to their long-term recovery.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• A current and valid Physical Therapist license in Virginia.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, particularly in engaging with patients and their families.
• An unwavering commitment to clinical excellence and ethical practice.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple patient cases efficiently.

Preferred Experience

A background in a Skilled Nursing Facility or experience dealing with orthopedic patients is preferred but not mandatory. The ideal candidate should be creative and demonstrate an eagerness to share knowledge and foster thought leadership within our team.
