Are you an experienced Enrolled Agent, CPA, or Tax Attorney who enjoys solving complex tax problems and negotiating with taxing authorities?

Do you have hands-on experience preparing Forms 433-A and 433-B, Offers in Compromise, financial disclosures, and negotiating collection alternatives with the IRS and state tax agencies?

If so, we'd love to hear from you.

We are a growing tax resolution firm headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, serving business owners nationwide. Our clients often have significant IRS and state tax liabilities, multiple years of unfiled returns, payroll tax issues, and active collection actions. They rely on us to help them become compliant, negotiate favorable resolutions, and regain peace of mind.

This is a fully remote position with a collaborative team focused exclusively on tax controversy and resolution work.

Bonus: Candidates who are eligible to represent taxpayers before the Oregon Department of Revenue or have experience handling Oregon tax resolution matters are strongly encouraged to apply.

As a Tax Resolution Specialist, you'll manage cases from financial analysis through resolution while serving as the primary representative for your clients before the IRS and state taxing authorities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Negotiating directly with the IRS and state taxing agencies on behalf of clients.
  • Preparing and analyzing Forms 433-A, 433-B, and other financial disclosure statements.
  • Developing customized resolution strategies based on each client's financial circumstances.

  • Communicating with IRS Revenue Officers, ACS representatives, Appeals, and state revenue departments.
  • Representing taxpayers during audits, appeals, collection matters, and other administrative proceedings as appropriate.
  • Reviewing transcripts, notices, and financial records to identify the most effective resolution strategy.
  • Keeping clients informed throughout the process and explaining recommendations and next steps.
  • Maintaining accurate case documentation and managing deadlines within our case management system.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of dedicated tax resolution experience.
  • General tax preparation or bookkeeping experience alone does not qualify.
  • You must have direct experience resolving IRS and/or state tax collection matters.
  • Active Enrolled Agent (EA), CPA, or Tax Attorney license.
  • Experience preparing:
  • Forms 433-A and 433-B
  • Offers in Compromise
  • Installment Agreements
  • Currently Not Collectible requests
  • Penalty abatement requests
  • Strong knowledge of IRS collection procedures and familiarity with state tax resolution processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload while working effectively in a remote environment.
  • Full-time availability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience representing businesses with payroll tax liabilities.
  • Experience working directly with IRS Revenue Officers, Appeals, and state revenue agencies.

  • Competitive compensation based on experience.
  • A steady pipeline of challenging IRS and state tax resolution cases.
  • A collaborative, supportive team that focuses exclusively on tax controversy and resolution.
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping businesses and business owners resolve difficult tax problems and move forward with confidence.

Please apply only if you have direct tax resolution experience. We are looking for professionals who can confidently manage complex IRS and state tax resolution cases from initial analysis through final resolution.

The absolute #1 company for small business owners to resolve their IRS back tax
problems.
Recognized as the #1 leader in solving business owners’ back tax problems — by the
accounting profession and by our clients.
Who We Serve
While most tax resolution companies service the mass market in a cookie-cutter way, our firm
services only the most complex IRS back tax problems — specifically for self-employed people
and small business owners.
Most of our clients owe a minimum of $100,000 in back taxes, haven’t filed in years (often with
no records to file with), and the IRS is knocking at their door. Clients come to us because we are
so specialized — and because we deliver results others simply can’t.
The work we do directly impacts people’s livelihoods. It protects their finances, their businesses,
their marriages, and gives them a newfound path forward that has eluded them for years.

Our Culture

  • Work hard, enjoy it while we do.
  • People feel respected working here — their opinions matter. We aren’t looking for “yes men.”
  • A-player only environment. If you can make things happen on your own, you’re a great fit.
  • We strongly value our employees. How we treat our team directly relates to the results we bring to clients.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial individuals who want greater responsibility and autonomy —and who can self-manage.
  • The company runs autonomously — systems and personnel so solid that everything gets done, right, the first time.
  • Excellent systems. We’ve been around the block, and we know exactly what’s needed to deliver for our clients.
